Local Direct Cremation – £1,199
For collection within a 25-mile straight-line radius of our Charing base.
This includes collection of the person who has died, making the cremation arrangements and necessary administration, a basic coffin suitable for direct cremation, transportation to the crematorium, the cremation itself and family collection of the ashes from BM Funeral Service.
Extended Area Direct Cremation – £1,499
For collection over 25 miles and up to 50 miles from our Charing base. The direct cremation service and care provided are otherwise the same as our Local Direct Cremation.
Additional funeral director products and services
- Collection beyond 50 miles: subject to BM confirming the arrangements, £2.00 per additional mile beyond the 50-mile radius.
- Additional road transfer: available where a family or professional needs the person who has died transferred to another destination. Road mileage is charged at £2.00 per mile, with any additional requirements explained before the transfer is agreed.
- Ashes delivery within 25 miles: included if requested.
- Ashes delivery beyond 25 miles: available by arrangement. The charge depends on distance and will be confirmed before delivery is arranged.
- Bariatric deceased collection: from £600. Every case is assessed individually because staffing, access, equipment, distance and other practical requirements can vary significantly.
- Mortuary care and specialist storage: individually quoted after assessment of the circumstances and care required.
- International or air transportation: available by arrangement and individually quoted according to destination, routing, documentation, third-party charges and transport requirements.
- Embalming: not offered.
- Services outside normal hours: additional charges may apply depending on the time, day and whether a Bank Holiday is involved. The price will be confirmed before the service is agreed wherever practicable.
Terms of business
Payment for direct cremation is required in full before the cremation arrangements proceed. We do not charge interest or late-payment fees for direct cremation because payment is made upfront.
